Who is responsible
Memoritual is provided by IsaLuna Commercial Inc. (“IsaLuna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The IsaLuna Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@isaluna.ca.
Version 1 at a glance
Version 1 has no Memoritual account, developer-operated cloud or sync service, advertising, third-party analytics, social sharing service, or cross-app tracking. The app does not transmit memory entries, attached-photo copies, recall responses, reminder choices, or app preferences to IsaLuna.
Apple separately operates the App Store, StoreKit, device backup, Photos picker, camera permission, notification permission, and system export interfaces. Apple’s terms and privacy policy apply to those services.
Information stored by the app
Memoritual stores entries, recall schedules and results, preferences, reminder choices, and user-selected photo copies inside the app on the iPhone. This information remains until the user edits or deletes a record, uses Erase All Data, deletes the app, or iOS otherwise removes app data.
When a user selects or takes a photo, Memoritual creates a resized JPEG and thumbnail in app-private storage. The app does not use Photos APIs to edit, move, or delete the original Photos-library asset. Its new JPEG copies omit the source file’s location metadata. Camera access is requested only after the user chooses Take Photo; library selection uses Apple’s user-selected photo interface.
Memoritual does not operate its own backup. Apple device backups may include app data according to the user’s Apple Account, device, and backup settings.
Exports
A user may request a JSON or CSV export of local Memoritual data. Attached-photo copies are included as encoded JPEG data. The file is created on the device and handed to Apple’s system save or share interface. The user chooses the destination, and IsaLuna does not receive the export. The selected destination’s privacy and retention practices then apply.
Notifications
If a user enables a reminder and grants permission, Memoritual schedules generic local notifications through iOS. Notification text does not include saved memory content. Users can turn reminders off in Memoritual or change permission in iOS Settings.
Purchases
Apple processes Memoritual Plus subscriptions. The app uses StoreKit to display Apple-provided products and prices, complete or restore a purchase, and check signed entitlement status. IsaLuna does not receive or store payment-card details. Apple may provide IsaLuna with subscription, sales, tax, and financial reports under Apple’s terms; those reports do not include a user’s Memoritual memory content.
Support communications
If a user contacts support or privacy by email, IsaLuna receives the sender address, message, and anything the sender chooses to attach. We use that information to respond, investigate the request, protect the service, and keep reasonable business or legal records. Please do not send memory entries, exports, passwords, payment-card information, or sensitive health information. Email and any monitored filing copy are handled by the providers described in the IsaLuna Privacy Notice.
Sale, advertising, analytics, and tracking
Version 1 does not sell personal information, share memory content with advertisers, include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, or track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Deletion, access, and correction
Users can view, edit, archive, restore, export, or delete entries and Memoritual’s photo copies. Erase All Data removes the app’s local records, photo copies, reminder requests, and preferences. These actions do not operate on original Photos-library assets. Deleting the app removes its local container, subject to Apple-controlled backups.
Because memory content is not transmitted to IsaLuna, we generally cannot retrieve, correct, or restore it. For information contained in support communications, users may request access or correction by emailing privacy@isaluna.ca. We may need limited information to verify identity, and legal exceptions may apply.
Retention and security
On-device information remains under the controls described above. Support and business communications are retained only as reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, dispute, or legal purposes. Memoritual uses Apple platform protections for app-private files and StoreKit transactions. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure, so users should protect device access and choose export destinations appropriate for their information.
Children
Memoritual is intended for adults. It is not directed to children and is not designated as a children’s app.
Changes
We will update this policy, its effective date, and the App Store privacy disclosures before a release materially changes these data practices. Features such as accounts, family sharing, cloud sync, remote processing, analytics, or advertising would require a new privacy review and updated disclosure before launch.
